Mini Countryman Doubles As A Flying Human Launcher (w/Video)

Flying person, sadly, is not a Mini-approved accessory.

Last week, a Dutch filmmaker named Floris Kaayk briefly convinced the world that he'd created a pair of mechanically-assisted wings that allowed him to fly like a giant pterodactyl, before admitting the entire project was an elaborate and reasonably well-Photoshopped hoax. That isn't stopping Mini from riding the free PR like a human hang-glider catching a desert updraft, though.

Sure, the Countryman-centric ad creates the same sense of doubt about its reality as Kaayk's did—at the very, very least, Mini's ad benefits from some serious editing—but just like the Human Bird Man, we definitely get the sense that this is so crazy it just might work. Looks like it's time for us to go Mythbusters on this video...anybody got a line on a flying squirrel suit?
