Like many people, our preferred method of playing with the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor involves wide-open dirt roads, high speed blasts along treacherous terrain and the occasional Dakar-esque leap, but it turns out the Raptor is plenty good at more conventional off-roading, too.
To show off its prowess, Ford carted a bunch of new SVT Raptors to the Hell's Revenge Trail in Moab, Utah, where they pushed them through places with names like "The Abyss," "The Intimidator," "Hell's Gate," and "Belly Button Hot Tub." (They can't all be winners.)
Those characteristics that make the SVT Raptor so damn good at high-speed off-roading are equally adept at helping it negotiate much tougher terrain at far slower speeds. Ford even manages to spice the video up a bit with some aerial coverage and the occasional vertigo-inducing camera angle. Still not entirely sure why you'd do this rather than tear across the flatlands at 100 mph, but hey, to each his own.
