Lexus LFA: Noise

Audiometry: This is the how and why Lexus’ LFA sounds ridiculous.

Acoustic design in the automobile industry isn’t a new concept, though Lexus has taken it to a whole new level, Mazda has had a form of their current Induction Sound Enhancer (ISE) in their Miata MX5 for some time now.

At any rate, we have a feeling the length Yamaha and Lexus went to achieve this new engine note and resonance won’t be surpassed any time in the near future.

Enjoy and geek out on the flow chart and diagrams. More info here: Yamaha Creates Acoustic Design for Engine of the Lexus LFA Super Sports Car.
