Amazing Build of the Day…Year?

We would never put a Citroën 2CV in 0-60, that is unless it’s packing a Ferrari 355 drivetrain.

The question often comes up in the office, “What project car would you build if money was no option?” A LS2 powered E36? A Hayabusa powered Smart Car? It’s usually a long winded debate that ends up in an eccentric and dramatic ‘what if’ but the possibilities are obviously endless.

Now, what would we do with a wrecked Ferrari 355 that still had a perfectly good drivetrain? Most likely, not throw it in a Citroën deux chevaux. But after five years and 1500 man hours, Italian real-estate firm Nimik (they also engineer rally cars) completed their trans-gender monster, which is so worthy of the Ferrari bits.

Check out the Nimik site and also Dep-O for a thorough breakdown of the build with pics and video. Also check out the unusual, albeit amazing sounding 2CV below.

Jason says:
Ohhhh, hell yeah. That V-8 is good for like 370hp and one nicely pitched exhaust note. Apparently Nimik also own a restaurant, so maybe they’ll use this to make express delivery of provisions to their Rally team, then take clients on a rapid tour of some properties.

Not a 2CV. A 2CV Camionette (little truck) variant. But regardless, it ought to get the cabbages to market pretty quick.
