The Fastest Cars Standing Still

Top eight gnarliest sounding engine rev videos. Turn up your speakers!

Seriously, some of these videos give us the chills. Take the Countach video for instance, it sounds like a cat being electrocuted while in water while being mauled by a pit bull. Stunning.

If you think you have some better videos/sounds throw down, partner.

Right on Jack. That clip has been my Youtube favorite for a long time now. Just the way it rips to red line is crazy.

The Ute vid is nice but needs more RPMs and the Ford GT-TT video needs less production and more noise.

The Countach is raw and evil sounding. While not as impressive as any one car here, I love this clip from Top Gear with 3 amazing cars.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvLCvdeWcsw Also missing from this crowd is a mad-dog Zonda F. Who doesn’t love a tuned Mercedes V-12 through quad Pagani pipes? This engine is guttural and fierce, like Godzilla gargling with glass.

Dear god, the Koenigsegg sounds like a ww2 fighter plane, or a meth addled mountain lion. Id that that and the Lambo are tied in 1st for me. The Benz is disappointing, sounds like a growling dog in a blender. I found this sweet DB9, an Aston V-12 should be heard here, I love the crackle and burble, with a sharp metallic bark.

I’m a sucker for a sweet sounding American V8 any day, but those are a dime-a-dozen. I’ve had cars that sound as good or better than the videos of the Ford GT, Z06, and the C63. It dosen’t impress me much if my V8 Dodge Dakota from High School and big block Dodge Coronet sounds better than these. What really gets my blood boiling is the high pitched scream from a finely tuned engine, whether it’s a 4cyl or 12cyl. Mark me down for the Lambo, Carrera GT, and Koenigsegg as the best.

F1 and done. the rest are amazing, but the F1 is simply awe inspiring.

I think the LFA belongs on this list now.
