The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray won’t be on sale for several months, but it’s already lost its crash virginity. (Well, at least it wasn’t a journalist responsible.)
According to a post on the forum Digital Corvettes, the blue C7 Corvette Stingray—presumably a test mule being driven by GM engineers—crashed last week in the mountains of Arizona. The poster claims the car is worse off than it appears in that picture, saying the Corvette “hit [the] guardrail on left and bounced back to rocks.”
Obviously, we’re sad the car crashed (especially because it looks so damn good in that blue), and we hope the driver is all right. But secretly, we’re hoping video emerges so we can add this to our collection of Corvette fails.
