There are plenty of cars scheduled to make their production debut next year that have us pretty excited: the McLaren P1, the Porsche 918 Spyder, the Ferrari Italian Jesus Supercar, the Chevrolet C7 Corvette, Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary car, the Porsche 911 GT3, etc. etc. But there’s more than exotica to look forward to in 2013—and at the top of that list lies the 2014 Chevrolet SS performance sedan. It’s due to debut in February, but we can’t wait that long. So using spy photos, the Chevy SS NASCAR race car, and styling cues from the rest of Chevy’s lineup, 0-60‘s friendly neighborhood graphic designer Todd Schmidt (the man who designed our Bugatti Veyron Batmobile) mocked up what we expect the 2014 Chevrolet SS will look like.
And for the record, if the actual Chevy SS looks half as badass as Schmidt’s rendering, we’re going to be all over it like brown over healthy organic rice. Especially if, as we suspect, it’ll come with an available manual transmission and a fifth-generation small block V8 making at least 450 horsepower.
