Guns N' Roses held a press conference outside our hotel, announcing their monthlong residency. Although Axl never showed. We're not sure if you can really call it a Guns N' Roses press conference if no original members of the band show up.

It may only be the first day of our annual trip to the SEMA trade show in Las Vegas, but damn it, it feels like we’ve been here a week already.

Between the last-minute dash on Saturday night to find airline seats after Virgin America cancelled our Monday morning flights due to Hurricane Sandy (that one-eyed bitch); the late Sunday Delta plane trip that got us into Las Vegas at 3am New York time; a full Monday of setting up our booth, scouting out the show, being dragged into the event horizon of a conversational black hole from some magazine we’d never heard of during dinner and constantly checking the Internet for updates on the weather back in NYC; and a Tuesday spent running around all 3.2 million square feet of the convention center snapping pictures, taking meetings and catching up with the aftermarket world…we’re feeling pretty cooked right now.

But it’s nothing a little nap and a couple of drinks before dinner can’t fix. So check out these pictures from the first couple days, and we’ll bring you another update tomorrow.
