Porsche 911's Door Makes Like A Tree And Gets Out During Race (w/Video)

So long!

Did you know that Porsche offers an explosive door release for use in emergencies on their racing 911s? Yeah, neither did we. Actually, we doubt Porsche knew, either.

Yet here we are, watching a door fly off a 911 like the Hulk walloped it. If anyone would like to suggest a logical, reasonable reason why this Porsche's door decided to say "Screw you guys, I'm going home" in the middle of the race, let us know. Until you do, however, we're just going to assume it was trying to escape the driver's farts.
