Inside Line recently brought a Cadillac CTS-V Coupe and a Chevy Corvette Z06 to a nice empty stretch of tarmac in order to discover which of the two 500+ horsepower General Motors cars could lay down the longer burnout. Honestly, we're kind of angry we didn't come up with this first.

That said, would forcing yourself to measure your burnouts take some of the fun out of it? Would it no longer be a simple, defiant act of friction-related joy, suddenly becoming a competitive standard that forces you to buckle down and actually work?

Nah. It still looks like fun.
