Dear History Channel: If you played more documentaries like this and fewer TV shows about how ancient aliens were responsible for every event in the Bible, we'd be more inclined to watch.
This brief film, shot for Sven Voelker's new book on automotive racing liveries entitled Go Faster, gives a fascinating peek at what went into designing some of the great paint schemes of the 1970s and 1980s. Also, as though Voelker didn't have a sweet enough job researching and writing about racing cars, he's also apparently being interviewed in the Porsche Museum.
The video includes plenty of action footage of the great cars Voelker's book documents, so even if you don't give a damn about design but love classic racers, you should still check it out.
