As part of their official duties as the official vehicular sponsor of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, BMW's corporate office is presumably barred from showing favoritism to any of the teams headed to London next July. However, BMW's UK division is apparently free to support the British team however they wish. And what better way to show your support than hooning a new M5 on a Welch beach?
Actually, we're a little torn on how to feel about this clip. On the one hand, drifting around on a beach in a 552 horsepower sports sedan is just an awesome concept, but at the same time, we have to imagine all that salt spray ripped the hell out of that M5. The ad is great...but was it worth sacrificing an M5? Check it out, and let us know.
If that video left you worried about the new M5, wash the taste out of your mouth by watching this video of the crew from the South African edition of CAR Magazine stacking the F10 M5 up against the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG. That one just leaves us jealous.
