Single Crash Claims Two Porsche 911 GT3 RSs

And one of them was a 4.0.

A drunken Chevrolet Cruze driver in Germany this Halloween destroyed not one but two 997-edition Porsche 911 GT3 RSs—a regular 3.8 liter version, and one of the 600 4.0 liter models Porsche is building as the crowning achievement of the 997 line. Not exactly the kind of story you want to start your week with, but we don’t make the news, we just report it.

Reportedly, the 39-year-old Chevy driver slammed head-on into the 4.0 before bouncing into the side of the 3.8 liter GT3 RS, totaling all three vehicles in the process. Thankfully, no one appears to have been killed, but the economic losses of all three vehicles is estimated to be around €250,000 ($343,750). The Chevrolet driver’s name is being withheld on the grounds that the entire Christophorus readership would have him hunted down and flayed if they knew who he was. [via GT Spirit, Input-aktuell]
