If there’s been one general complaint about the McLaren MP4-12C among the motoring media, it’s that the car is too technical, too serious for its own good. Well, it seems McLaren has taken the complaints that the Twelvsy just isn’t “fun” to heart, as they’re implementing a few last-minute changes to make the first customer cars a little more spirited. Or as people might have put it back in the ’20s, a little more gay.

According to Autocar, McLaren’s final changes to the car include improved throttle response and a “fruitier” exhaust sound (Autocar‘s quote, not ours). What exactly does that entail? We don’t know. Perhaps, as our old pal Mike Spinelli put it, this means the MP4-12C will sound like a piece of fruit. But we are guessing that the word “fruity” in Great Britain has a slightly different connotation than it does here in the United States. [via Autocar]
