Hyundai’s three-door Velosteraptor sport coupe is one little car we’re really looking forward to taking for a spin. Fuel-efficient, light and surprisingly loaded with tech, it strikes us as the reborn CR-X Honda could have made the CR-Z into, but didn’t.
Still, with only 138 horsepower, we wouldn’t mind a little more power under the hood—and it seems Hyundai agrees with us. The car maker announced that starting next year, an all new 1.6 liter turbocharged inline-four will be making its way into the Veloster, giving the plucky little coupe 208 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Maybe not as impressive as Rhys Millen’s Veloster…but we’ll take what we can get. [via Hyundai Blog]
