Apparently concerned about legions of Formula One fans mobbing their dealerships after hearing radio ads declaring exceptional President’s Day deals on Ferrari’s 2011 F1 car, Ford is reportedly planning on taking Ferrari to court in an attempt to force them to cease and desist their use of the name F150 for their Formula One racer.
The report comes from PickupTrucks.com, who claim they’ve heard the news from “sources familiar with the matter.” In case you’ve missed out on this story so far and are wondering why the gang from Maranello stirred up this can of worms at all, Ferrari chose the name to celebrate Italy’s 150th anniversary. Ford, Ferrari—there’s no need to fight. Only about one percent of Formula One fans care about full-size pickup trucks, and vice versa. [via PickupTrucks.com]
Ehi Bix, go have a beer and stop writing like an idiot. If you don't want to fight, ther's no need to call them "a gang". Understood or need spelling?
