Italia owners, if you get pulled over in the next couple days, be sure to tell the officer you were heading to the dealership to deal with your car’s recall. Ferrari has officially announced a recall for a heat shield under the rear fender; the shield is attached using an adhesive with a nasty habit of catching fire at high temperatures, which in turn can lead to larger, more expensive blazes. The company’s fix: a new heat shield that attaches using rivets. If you own a 458, this might be a good time to slap the manettino into Race and haul ass to your dealer (Ferrari does encourage making an appointment first, however). [via Autoblog]
