Lotus Evora S Caught

More details on the "reply all" racer.

Word of a higher-performance version of the Lotus Evora spread this week by way of an accidental (or on purpose) e-mail leak. Now, the UK’s AutoExpress reports on the spec’d up version, set to debut at the Paris auto show next month. The S, caught during its de rigueur testing at the Nürburgring, will get a blower atop its midship 3.5-litre V6, nestled between the cylinder banks for better rearward visibility. The keen eyed among us will tell the Evora S by the bigger diffuser at the back. AutoExpress predicts a 74-hp bump to 350 hp, and torque bump to 300 lb.-ft., translating into a 0-60 time of under five seconds and top speed of 175 mph. We Yanks will get an automatic version. Word is the Evora S will be joined on the Paris dais by the long-awaited Esprit replacement, a “new hybrid two-door GT,” and a new version of the classic (now Caterham) Lotus Seven.
