Night Racing, Weather and 1,000 Cars in GT5

Finally some good news to keep you salivating.

In a leaked February copy of the Official PlayStation Magazine, interviews and digging has resulted in some pretty critical facts becoming known. First, there will be available night racing and weather modeling at every track in the game. Second: it’s thought that over 1,000 cars (all with interior modeling) will be available, with 170 of them having interior damage modeling as well as exterior. Third: up to 16 player online racing. Fourth and final: NASCAR stockers will be able to race any other car in the game on not just racetracks, but also city courses; Indy cars will also be available in game but to what extent, we’re not sure yet.

2011 CTS-V Coupe Revealed

Caddy’s new coupe gets big balls thanks to the 556hp 6.2L supercharged V8.

The proportions of the new Cadillac CTS-V Coupe are…a bit strange in the rump. Looking like a squatted crossover instead of a low-lined coupe. At least that’s how some of us see it as. Regardless, the new coupe is built for the same tenacious attack as the sedan; with 556 horsepower and 551 lb.-ft of torque and a wider rear track than the sedan and “slightly lower mass”.

The Sound of Awesome

Ready for the weekend? Kill those remaining few work hours with this clip of Porsche GT3 rally cars.

Lets do some quick math: Rally cars = awesome and a 911 GT3 = awesome. Therefore, one must assume that a 911 GT3 as a rally car = mega awesome. Right? Right. Found over on TCL, this compilation is from some GT3 tarmac rally action that took place in Germany, Spain and Belgium. Even if you don’t want to watch the clip, just run the 8 minutes and 44 seconds of action as background noise. It’s absolutely heavenly.
