The long-forgotten story of an Oldsmobile-powered supercar.
Recently, GM design Boss Ed Welburn got to drive the Oldsmobile AeroTech. That's a story that deserves re-telling. So here goes: See, kids. Once upon a time there was a GM division called Oldsmobile (say it with me:
oldz-moh-beel). It was more luxurious than a Pontiac and (mostly) sportier than a Buick.

Take a guess where. Yep.
Give up? Of course the first twin turbo Hennessey Performance Venom GT -- all 1200 horsepowers' worth -- went to a buyer in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The LS3-powered, erstwhile Lotus was dropped off by one Sir Alfred J. DiMora (No, not the British kind of sir. He's a Knight of Malta) founder of DiMora Motorcar, which happens to be the exclusive distributor for Hennessey supercars in the Middle East and India.

We're getting the Fiesta, but will Ford extend a full performance invitation?
Last week, American journalists including our own Alex Bernstein sampled Ford's production Fiesta destined for the US this year. But while Alex was tentatively impressed with the minicar's agility, gearing and straight-line sendoff, there was no word yet on a striper model like this one from Ford UK.

A garage-sale visit, three unfinished trike projects and seven years of wrenching, and this was the result.
There is no force greater in the known universe than a tenacious wrench on a mission. Want proof? It's this trike-buggy -- part-VW, part Honda ST1100, part undocumented fiberglass bodywork, part original fabrication, and all the work of a supra-genius (obviously).
