
He started the Monaco Grand Prix all by his lonesome. After a seemingly not_so_bad free practice shunt that cracked his tub at Massenet, the two-time world champ had to begin the race in the pits: cold, alone and totally pissed off. The first fifteen minutes of the BBC’s F1 feed couldn’t care less about the pole sitters’ parade laps—all cameras were on Fernando Alonso absolutely throwing his Ferrari around the streets of Monaco. Passing any and all cars that were in front of him he managed to fistfight his way from 24th to sixth.
My favorite part of the Grand Prix other other than his race-long late braking and balls-to-the-wall driving style was this emotive hand swinging at di Grassi at 170 mph up Beau Rivage. What the hell are you doing?! Get out of my way! Move that Virgin-Cosworth POS!
