We’re assuming that the son of the inventor of cable TV, Edward Walson, has some serious cash flow because buying a new 599 GTB and then turning it into the P540 Superfast Aperta that you see, had to cost some major beans. Ironically enough, Walson was inspired by the 1968 Fellini film Toby Dammit in which they use a Carrozzeria Fantuzzi designed Ferrari. Destiny perhaps?
Yes, actually it is destiny as Walson always wanted to design a Ferrari and now he got his chance. Having direct involvement with the development of his Ferrari, he was able to work with Ferrari and Pininfarina during every step of the build. There was an increase in weight due to structural strengthening but was kept to a minimum using carbon fiber throughout. Oh money, where art thou?
