The new Mustang V6 will be quite the little motor when it arrives on the 2011 Mustang with 305 horsepower but Ford has plans to make the stout six Mustang more…potent. Available late summer of 2010 the V6 Performance Package will include a host of upgrades borrowed from its upscale brother, the Mustang GT. The list goes like this: front/rear anti-roll bars, front struts, rear shocks/springs, front/rear calipers, Performance Friction brake pads and GT500 rear lower control arm. Phew.

Increasing lateral grip is a front strut tower brace, 19-inch (Performance Package specific) wheels with Pirellis and a lower 3.31:1 axle ratio.

So with all these new features, the lighter, high-revving V6 Mustang should be a suitable track day toy when available Spring 2010. Hey, sign us up, Ford’s been doing good things as of late.
