GT-R Replacement Expected in 2013

Nissan already has plans to introduce next generation of its supercar beater, the GT-R.

At a recent meeting of the (GT-R) minds, Nissan Vice President of Global Product Planning, Andy Palmer, expressed to engineers and staff that Nissan was fully committed to furthering the GT-R brand and providing a kickass supercar on the (relatively) cheap. Palmer stressed the importance of the GT-R for Nissan, while stating that the next generation would be an evolution of the current R35 platform with the V6 layout expected to stay along with a power increase.

Nissan’s life-cycle of the GT-R is based on their benchmarking of the Porsche GT’s, so based on a 5-6 year product lifespan, the new GT-R should come in 2013. Nissan has made a car in the GT-R that is utterly awesome and we can’t wait until the next generation comes out, let alone the Spec V. Here’s to competition.

Sweetness. I love those shots, you can really see the evolutionary styling of this amazing car. I have seen a couple blasting down the streets. They look good, sound good, and they are good value for money. Boo too all naysayers who don't want to pay all that money for a Nissan. You should think about it as spending that money on a GT-R, and that would be money well spent.

It's great to hear Nissan plans to push ahead with its GTR the only question is will the R36 also be a world car or just a Japan and Europe car?

A 10 Second GTR! Yes, it will be available in the U.S like the Nissan Sentra Spec V R. The Nissan GTR is already faster then every Lamborghini & Ferrari, now it's going to match the fastest custom built cars all-time. More important, the grand tourer is going to have faster lap times retaining the #1 aerodynamics in the world. Wow! I knew I choose wise with Nissan & Hyundai.
