"But this begs the question: do we really need American drivers on an American team?" Answer: (in my best Kimi-esque-ness)Thatreallydependsonwhothedriverwouldbe. MuchlesstheunlitmateanswerisyesbutforthetimebeingUSGPEneedsgooddriversregardlessofwhattheirehomecountryis.

OK, so the comment proggie doesn't like smash together sentences. So for anyone who either cares what I said or just can't dig it out of Kimi-speak, here we go: That really depends on who the driver would be. Much less, the ultimate answer is yes, but for the time being USGPE needs good drivers regardless of what their home country is.

I guess it would make a podium finish that much more sweet. Like when an Italian drives for Ferrari or German for M-B. Then again, if you want a battle of nations watch A1GP.

@ Jack Chinelii: I've only ever had the chance to watch about 2 or 3 A1GP races, enjoyed what I saw. But much as the same with WRC coverage in the States over the past few years (read: non-existent)by the time I set my DVR up for more open wheeled glory, the coverage had gone away. But yes, your point is valid, much more so than when applied to F1.
