That really depends on who the driver would be. Much less, the ultimate answer is yes, but for the time being USGPE needs good drivers regardless of what their home country is.
I guess it would make a podium finish that much more sweet. Like when an Italian drives for Ferrari or German for M-B. Then again, if you want a battle of nations watch A1GP.

I've only ever had the chance to watch about 2 or 3 A1GP races, enjoyed what I saw. But much as the same with WRC coverage in the States over the past few years (read: non-existent)by the time I set my DVR up for more open wheeled glory, the coverage had gone away.
