Skyline For Sale of the Day

For sale: One 1971 Nissan Skyline.

Bringatrailer.com is one of our favorite internet haunts. Every day we have to empty a box of kleenex in order to wipe…the drool off our keyboards and pre-press layouts. Thinking about what’d it be like to show up with a trailer and hauling a rust bucket or vintage rallye car keeps us from putting out the print mag. No, really.

Honestly. It’d be stupid for us to share with you every car that BAT posts…because that’s what they do. Although we are are compelled to show you this American-registered Skyline 2000GT. Yeah, it’s in Cali.

Take this 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT:

Item description:
This is a 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT “GT-R Clone” (it was converted from a 2000GT to a GT-R). This model Skyline is affectionately known by enthusiasts as the “Hakosuka”, hako meaning “box” in Japanese and “suka” being short for Skyline. The “Hakosuka” model Skyline was the first every model that offered the now legendary “GT-R” trim package. Venerated by Skyline/GT-R and classic Japanese car enthusiasts as the birth of a legend, these vehicles are even very rare in Japan, especially in this great of condition, and still command top dollar prices when sold.
