Starting in October, the Discovery Channel’s HD Theater will bring the FIA World Rally Championship to television in the States on a weekly basis. Coverage from every round, as well as behind the scenes news and features will be featured on the network. We are wondering however, if it will just be exclusively on HD Theater, since you need a high-definition box to view the channel. Hopefully Discovery Networks will trickle it down to standard-definition.
Man, wouldn’t it be nice seeing one of our own, an American, racing in the championship, coinciding with the opportunity to actually finally be able to watch them?
my god.. finally. it's been what, 12-13yrs since it was on Speed? wont get much better than WRC in HD..
Excellent news
Are they going to call it the Sebastian Loeb show?
Actually its only been about 2 years since WRC was on speed!
'bout damn time! The only way to currently see it snagging torrents but that will kick ass if they keep it current.
Thank you Discovery!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remembered watching late Burns and McRae battling it out. And watching "Magic" Gronholm kicking butt..."Hollywood" Solberg winning his first WRC race...The Italian brothers doing a donut during a stage...
has to have been more than 2 years since coverage was cut on speed vision. It was called speedvision back then?
actually....its been around 5 years since wrc was on speed. i think it was a year after solberg and the impreza wasnt doing so good anymore.
