In 1984, before Americans could get their hands on a 930 Turbo, Porsche offered a Supersport option, which brought the widebody of the 911 Turbo to the Carrera lineup. The new Supersport option would feature the widebody of the Carrera 4S, a ducktail spoiler, upgraded suspension and brakes along with GT3ish front and rear bumpers. More horsepower should be in the mix along with a custom set of Fuchs-style wheels. The price, which seems absolutely crazy, is rumored to be around $220,000. That can’t be right because we’d rather buy a GT2.
Look for the Porsche throwback sometime next year, though this could be pure internet hogwash.
