Depth Metal

After 70 years at the bottom of a lake in Switzerland, a vintage Bugatti rises from the depths.

A rare 1925 Brescia Bugatti was found at the bottom of Lake Maggiore near Ascona, Switzerland last weekend when a Swiss diving club stumbled swam upon the 84-year old Bugatti. What’s interesting is that no one actually knows how the hell it got down there. Was the guy toasted off some wine and cheese or did the lake seem like the best spot to park at the time? Usually when we lose our Bugattis, we try and find them within a few days. But to each his own, right? Though the car cannot be restored, it’s going to be sold at an auction. We think it’d be pretty cool to buy this Bugatti. Besides all the crabs and random underwater crustaceans on it, it’d be a nice addition to any garage.
