Calling Out Ken Block
An attempt at stealing the current hoonage crown from Ken Block or just a passerby?
First things first: the video-editing and filming is pretty decent. That said, if you’re going to call out Ken Block and make a reference that, “the real drifting scene started underground,” your video should probably include more action shots and better locations, not the top of parking garage where you do donuts and say that “this is no fake.”
The guys over at Format67 tried to one up Ken with limited success. Shit, we could go outside and take the SHO out and pull donuts for days, granted it’d probably blow up, but this video lacks the element of hitting hard. We do give these guys credit for attempting somewhat of a rebuttal but they need to step it up a few notches.
Granted, they obviously don’t have the funds nor the accessibility to do anywhere near what Ken did but the video was lacking any real driving emotion. The thing about Block’s stuff is it’s complete fantasy mixed with some serious driving ability that makes us all wish we could replicate it. You don’t need a ton of money to match his shit, these guys did a fine editing job, you need something that pulls at the heartstrings and puts you in a fantasy world. Maybe a bit sappy, but you watch his videos and you’re blown away. We’re not condoning reckless driving, but go out and do some driving, the poor attempt at making any dent in Block’s self-esteem with some average driving was sadly…below the bar.
So what do you think? Was it a good attempt at pushing Block further or just a couple dudes mad at his skill? Check out their mission statement below and their video and compare and contrast.
Weak. The two don't even compare. "this is no fake this is not america this is no rally champion" What? Who said anything about a fake? And what does Block's video being shot in American have to do with anything...

I thought it was funny that less than five seconds after saying "this is no super slow-mo" They cut to a slow-mo shot. If they would have just made the movie without trying to compare to Block I would say it was pretty good. But since they want a comparison, next to Blocks vids, it sucked.
this video was poor. this guy must not get that the airports and harbors are what make ken blocks vids so good to watch becuase you dont no whats happening next. this guy dose not even get big drifts and hes in a rwd car awd is much harder to slid. the content of this vid made me laught and am going to go out and make one with a normal shite car. the guy the edited and done the filming is good tho its the driver that lets this down. dont dis ken block when u have no skills to back it up

Nice editing job, but there was nothing special about the driving in the video. This is my second time watching this. I thought it was just supposed to be a mini tribute to the Zenki 240 back when I first found it. I had no idea this was intended to be a call out to Ken Block. Weak!
Frowning on originality are we now? Ken Block ftw, but the video editing is damn cool! And the the little Nissan needs more power! Cool ass video, but not even up on the same dinner table as Ken Block.
I like that their mission statement tells explains why the video is so shitty. The editing was cool, but it's no ken block, it's not 530hp, the driver isn't a professional rally champion, and that's exactly why it can't compete.
This video would actually be descent if it had someone with comparable driving skills. I understand that Ken's skills are in a way superhuman when it comes to cars, but if you are going to compare or contrast to ken's video and build up momentum from the "wording" at least have something appealing to show. Anyone with 5 tries before shooting the video would have been able to do the same.

The editing on this is alright, but I think they could use 530hp. I realize that Ken had alot more money and resources at his disposal, but this really doesnt compare.
Comparing the two videos is like comparing the original "My new haircut" video to all the remakes. The original one is better.

This Vid would have been half decent if it were just a vid. LMAO! But since they talk and publish BullS#!&, Some1 please pull that WEAK @$$ nissan vid off the web. That wanna_be drifting of a driver has no control. IT had a RWD car, which my grandma can put into a "slide", is the easiest cars to put into a slide. Real control is with an AWD car, which is harder or even an FWD for that matter. The nissan vid was a complete waste of my time.
