Usually, ok always, we post about cars, events or crashes on the Nordschleife. This time it’s about the F1 track. For 28 days you can publicly drive the 5.148 km Formula One course for only 30 Euros and 20 minutes. Touristenfahrten or public track days will allow you to tackle the F1 course at your discretion. The dates, set between March and September, apply the same rules as the Nordschleife (i.e. road legal and road laws apply).

This is great news and now we only wish we lived closer. Who lives close? Let us shack up for a few. In the meantime, check below for dates and times.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR BRITS…
Needless to say, if you were worried that your British insurance policy wouldn’t cover you on the historic Nordschleife, you can bet it won’t cover you on this event. Many people are confused and think that all they need is a trackday policy to make up the gap if their regular insurance refuses covers. That’s not true as all a trackday policy covers is damage to your own car. It doesn’t cover third party claims for injuries or vehicle damage.
