In an interview with Car and Driver, Audi’s technical-director Michael Dick spilt the future outlook and direction Audi’s S4 and S5 will take. Expect massive weight savings by way of aluminum, magnesium and high-strength steel. Audi will try and lose some 800 plus pounds thanks to extensive use of lightweight materials. You can also expect V8′s and even V6′s to be dropped, instead using four-cylinder turbocharged engines developing in the 260 horsepower range.
