Nigel Smuckatelli is a retired academic and has spent, what seems like countless hours, archiving his racing negatives taken back in the late 60’s and early 70’s when he volunteered as a safety official, during college, at the 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring. These are some of the coolest racing photographs we have ever seen. Not only does Nigel do a fantastic job conveying the on and off course action, but he took the time to caption a ton of the photos. Not only is this a feast for the eyes but a great history lesson and his photography combined with his commentary gives you an unbelievable sense of being there. Check out his flickr page for fullscreen shots and take the time to enjoy his amazing shots. 261 in all!
