NBC passes on the US version of Top Gear, before it even airs.

Everyone’s favorite British automotive show was slated to make its American debut on NBC in the upcoming months, however recent reports appear to have all but confirmed the shows demise even before it made it to air. Which begs the question, how did NBC put Knight Rider on the air and even order more episodes, before it was willing to put Top Gear on air? However, all is not lost as rumors have it that NBC/BBC is quietly shopping the show to various cable networks, many who have expressed interest in the show. Maybe this had something to do with it, who knows.
