1913: Ford debuts assembly line

This day in motoring history.

Ninety-five years ago today Henry Ford introduced the moving assembly line for automobile production. This innovation could mass produce a complete car every two-and-a-half minutes, allowing Ford to sell their cars for far less than any competitor. Imagine if Ford could invent (or reinvent) something as ground breaking as this to help save their historic brand.
