The UK only (of course) Mitsubishi Evolution X FQ-400 is the badass of the Evo family. Even though there is the MR, which is rightfully a super fast car, Mitsu wanted to go big. Based on their years in racing and relationship with ADR Motorsport, they put together the fastest Evo so far. The 2.0L turbo four-cylinder has been boosted and gone through some hacking to make the ECU more efficient. With the upgrades, the tiny four now pushes out 405hp and an incredible 400 lb.-ft of torque. Muscle car anyone? Instead of using the twin-clutch SST tranny, they opted for some old school reliability with the trusted DIY five-speed.
The new FQ also gets a new body kit with vents for cooling the engine and upgraded six-piston brakes behind new 18-inch alloys. Expect 0-60 times in the mid three second range with a price tag around 50,000 pounds for the limited run of 100 cars. If you don’t think all this is cool as hell, you probably shouldn’t be reading this.
