Source Interlink waved goodbye to yet another auto rag by killing Sport Compact Car, ending its 20-plus year bid as one of the most read import magazines. Autoblog reports that yesterday, Source Interlink fired a majority of the staff and the February 2009 issue will be the last SCC to be on newsstands. According to sources, SCC still maintained a steady readership and ad revenue had been up slightly for the fiscal year, though down over a period of five years. Follow this link to see the people that helped make SCC what it was. Source Interlink recently killed Turbo, another magazine that had been around for 20 years.
