According to several sources, Russia’s bid for a 2010 F1 race could be coming to the forefront. The new, state of the art racetrack, which will be built in the suburbs of Moscow, should be completed sometime in 2010. The track, designed by Hermann Tilke, who also designed Shanghai and Turkey, should be able to accommodate an F1 setting. The 2.52 mile long track will feature 15 corners, nine of them lefts and six rights. There will be a 2,800-foot long straight which will allow the F1 cars to get up to speeds of around 190mph.
