As you all may- or may not- know by now, the uber limited (500 units worldwide, approx. 80 units for the US) Alfa Romeo 8C competizione sports coupe has now officially hit American soil. The brand new Alfa was unveiled last week at Miller Motor Cars, located in Greenwich Ct. and the owner of the first 8C in the country? None other than Jim Glickenhaus himself. Most of you may know Mr. Glickenhaus from his custom Pininfarina coach built Ferrari P4/5. Being a avid collector of customized Ferraris, it perhaps comes as no surprise that the already limited 8C was not “rare” enough for him, as he was able to pull some strings over at Alfa and have his car delivered in a custom painted red known as rosso competizione, coincidentally the same shade of red found on his P4/5 concept. Head over to VeloceToday for more in depth coverage of the launch. And of course what does everyone do after they take delivery of such a rare automobile? Use it as their daily driver to the train station, I mean c’mon.
