Coming to America

Go ahead and soil your underoos, the KTM X-Bow is heading stateside

Remember the KTM X-bow? Sure ya do. Made by the same folks who build serious off-road motorcycles, it’s one of the more radical looking cars available on the market today. Sadly though, U.S. crash regulations/emissions/lord knows what else have prevented KTM from offering it for sale over here.

That’s all about to change though if Hubert Trunkenpolz, the KTM sales and marketing honcho, can be believed. At the recent meeting of KTM dealers in Salt Lake City it was revealed that more than 600 American dealers have requested that the car be brought stateside. KTM’s response? That they’ll be doing everything possible to bring the go-kart car to America. Presumably by 2010.
