Koenigsegg Factory Tour

A bloody Australian wonders to the Koenigsegg factory and gets a personal tour! Crikey!

Sometimes really cool things happen to people when they lease expect it. So this guy goes to Sweden, takes a Saab taxi to the Koenigsegg factory, snoops around for a little, notices that there is someone inside, talks with him, finds out he is Christian von Koenigsegg, the owner, and he gives him a personal tour. We’d be lucky if a pigeon didn’t crap on our heads, let alone giving a personal tour of the factory. Awesome story and he has the pictures to prove it. Head over to performanceforums.com and check out his tough times adventure. Lucky SOB.

What amazing machines. I love the CCR, and jeremy clarkson actually has some automotive credability with these car since they put a wing on the back of the car because of top gear spinning out during the stigs run. And the highest mile per hour speeding ticket in the united states was givin to a persom doing 224mph in a koenigsegg in texas, that would be a ticket i would be proud of once i get out of jail. Keep up the good work.

Actually the main gains were apparently found from suspension tuning(2 seconds faster) the wing only gave them a .2 second gain on top of that.

best long distance driving stories: #1 Returning home from competing in a well known hill climb event 300 miles away and accompanied by my gorgeous then girlfriend for whom speed was an aphrodisiac, we were passing 10 to 20 cars at a time on a major single lane highway through the mountains at speeds of 125-150 mph in my fully tweaked tube framed 3.1 litre, roll caged 1972 Datsun 240z with the requisite suspension/body mods and 5 point harnesses. Following so close behind me that I could only see his smiling face in my rear view mirror was my racing buddy, one of the few that I could trust to do these insane speeds on public roads with, and his girl in his new Corvette. Having almost having completed passing a long line of cars and doing 150, a motorhome in front pulled out to pass without checking his mirrors. I had nowhere to go, couldn't brake because my buddy would rear end me with tragic consequences. I kept my foot in it and passed the motorhome on the opposite lanes' shoulder, giving my buddy space to emergency brake and pull back into traffic. My girl wouldn't talk to me for a week. #2 A friend had just painted my fully tweaked tube framed 3.1 litre, roll caged 1972 Datsun 240z with the requisite suspension/body mods and 5 point harnesses Porsche Guards Red in his shop 500 miles from my home. I rode the night bus there and was back on the road home by 7am on a gorgeous summer morning. There was nary another vehicle on this twisty mountain pavement and I naturally threw caution to the wind. Entering an indicated 35 mph tight corner I glancing down at my speedo indicating 90 mph. The tires howled, I applied a little opposite lock and the car screamed out of the corner. I passed a few cars, doing 2-3 times their speed, one being an old Suburban. Miles ahead I was surprised to see him in my rear view mirror cresting a hill miles behind me. He shouldn't have been that close given my rate of speed. Rounding a corner minutes later, a police car heading toward me activated his lights upon seeing me and "burned a shit hook." I knew I was sunk. The first thing the officer did was look under the hood and then sit in the drivers seat. His off-duty buddy in the Suburban, joined us minutes later. They wanted to drive the car but wouldn't negotiate the ticket. Biggest ticket I ever got.
