You Knew It Was Coming

NISMO announces parts for GT-R. Saw it coming a mile away.

You knew that Nissan wasn’t going to stand around and watch as others were breaking their codes and upgrading their best performance car ever. So they’ve decided to join the party and introduce their own line of upgrades. There will be packages available that will focus on what you want to get done to the car. So figure if you want a lightweight package, think wheels, hood, trunk, spoiler, etc. in carbon and exotic materials. As for what exactly they will have, we don’t know yet (full details August 20th). GT-R blog expects wheels, ECU upgrades and exhaust among other upgrades. Though only available in Japan at first, we suspect it’s coming over here.

[...] Proof that the GT-R can sound louder then a G37. There are a ton of companies making parts for the new GT-R. Nissan’s in-house tuner, NISMO, Amuse, and others are tuning the crap out of the ever present GT-R. Now we have audible proof of a racey sounding GT-R. Having driven the GT-R, the sound wasn’t indicative of how fast it is. We’re not sure of what exhaust it actually is but it sounds better then stock. Listen.
