Evosport Power Pully

New Evosport Power Pulley System released for the BMW V8 M3 .

PRESS RELEASE

New evosport Power Pulley System released for the BMW V8 M3

Huntington Beach, CA –- July 17, 2008 –- Evosport Inc. is proud to announce the release of its evosport
Power Pulley System for the new BMW E90/E92/E93 M3, based on the S65 V8 normally-aspirated engine.

With a stock engine, horsepower (HP) is typically lost in the requirement to drive accessory pulleys (water
pump, power steering, alternator, A/C). This parasitic loss can often be reduced by under-driving certain
engine pulleys. For a number of years, Evosport has been a recognized leader in developing under-drive
pulley systems that safely reduce this parasitic power loss in high-end European vehicles, resulting in
measurable HP gains.

With its Power Pulley System for the new BMW V8 M3 producing a net gain of approximately 21 HP and 8
ft-lbs of torque* on CA91 octane, Evosport has once again developed a superior product for performance-
minded BMW M3 owners.

Pulley System features:

1. Custom-designed and engineered crankshaft pulley manufactured by evosport;
T-6061 billet aluminum, black anodized, laser-etched logo
2. Simple bolt-on design
3. Design does NOT modify or alter factory harmonics or dampening
4. Easily reversible
5. Includes replacement accessory belts and hardware
6. 3-year warranty on craftsmanship

*Actual rear wheel HP (as measured on dynamometers and as we have referenced) is typically 15-18% less than crank rated horsepower due to drive-train loss.

Figure 1: Dyno runs made same day on 2008 BMW M3 Coupe with no other modifications using Dynojet 248C Dynamometer. All dyno runs done on CA91 octane gas. As the dyno chart illustrates above, the power gains are realized over the entire power curve, specifically mid-range and top-end. Power gains are even greater on higher octane gasoline available in most other states.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s):

1. Exactly how does this product make power? A measurable amount of engine energy is required
to spin the engine accessories (driven by the crankshaft pulley). The more energy required to turn this
rotational mass, the less energy there is to drive the rear wheels and thus less power made to the rear
wheels. Our unique crankshaft pulley reduces the amount of rotational mass and thus the amount of
energy required by the crankshaft to drive the accessories, recapturing a certain amount of power
back to the rear wheels.

2. Are there any dangers to the harmonics of my engine if I install this pulley? No. Like the
factory OE crankshaft pulley, the evosport crankshaft pulley is a solid, non-dampened unit. Our
product neither alters nor modifies the vehicle harmonics or dampening, which are left in place.

3. How does your pulley differ from the competition? Evosport has been producing pulleys for BMW
vehicles since 1999 and is considered a pioneer and leader in the industry. Our pulleys are designed
and engineered in-house. Further, we spend a considerable amount of time testing on both the dyno
and on the road for quality and reliability. Our competitors often directly copy our product or spend
little to no time actually testing or understanding the effects of such a product on these engines.

4. What about software tuning? Our evosport Power Pulley System does not require a change in the
vehicle’s software. However, should you wish to gain even more power, we do offer software custom-
developed on our in-house Dynojet dyno by Powerchip (a leading automotive software developer) to
optimize engine performance while providing a reasonable safety factor.
