Texas Police confiscate 61 cars from Unique Performance, police smell title washing.
According to CBS 11 in Dallas, Unique Performance, the custom/restoration shop that rubs elbows with Shelby cars and Chip Foose, is under investigation for title-washing. The news report says, “Many of the cars could be worthless because the vehicle identification number has been removed. Steel plates with illegitimate numbers covered up the scratched areas.” No official word from Unique Performance but we hope they have something to say. Remember kids, it’s “VIN” not “VIN number” (that’s vehicle identification number number).
