SLR GTR, WTF?

Is this the M-B SLR 722 GTR? We love starting a news story with, “Word on the street is…”

Seriously though, word on the information super highway street is that Mercedes will produce a very limited number of 650hp SLR 722s for European track barons and sell them at about a million US. Similar to the Zonda F, Ferrari FXX or Maserati MC12, the “SLR 722 GTR” is said to be 661 lbs lighter (3139 lbs) and of course have more carbon fiber. Sprechen sie Deutsches? Check out Carpassion.

We know you haven’t used Babel Fish translation in a while, so we’ll do this news report via Auto Motor Und Sport with it, quite amusing, we must say. [...]
