Viagra Vette

600hp Vette confirmed, says Bob Lutz.

Mustang and Corvette—two models who from their inceptions, have had an infinite death match with each other. We’re not saying Corvette’s latest spin on the Vette could once and for all slay the Stang but…

Recently a majority of the attention in the domestic market media has been shifted Corvette when during an interview with a group of bloggers at the Detroit Auto Show; Bob Lutz spilled the beans on the Mustang-Viper-Vette horsepower war and the uncertainty surrounding GM’s upcoming 600hp “Blue Devil” Vette. He said GM and the US market were both schizophrenic and that they would continue competing with Chrysler at the upper end of the performance spectrum. GM confirmed that the Super-Vette should be coming summer of 2009 but that haven’t hinted toward pricing yet, although the general estimate amongst informed parties is in the $100,000 ball-park.
