Eighty, Maybe!

A Utah Senate committee approves a new highway speed limit.

Apparently, polygamy is no longer legal in the great state of Utah, but if things go according to Senator Scott K. Jenkins’ plan, doing 80 will be all good. But wait, it gets way better. Jenkins wants to change the focus of the state’s police force from speeding to “careless driving,” which will include talking on the cell phone, eating, drinking, tending to children or other passengers, grooming, or even looking for something dropped on the floor while operating a vehicle. He also plans to outlaw those idiots who do 50mph in the left lane… And why you ask is this man going against everything that our motoring legal system believes in? Because, according to civil engineers…80mph is a more than safe speed. Say it ain’t so!!!

Speed Limit Trivia: What other state has an 80mph max speed?
