A year ago, the Rally world suffered a huge loss when Subaru driver Richard Burns passed away at the age of 32 after a fight with cancer. But Subaru is trying to turn all those frowns upside down with the ultimate RB memorial—a limited edition STi. The RB320 will only be available in Obsidian Black and will come rolling on some custom color-coded 18s. To make the RB stand out, some chrome mesh grilles will adorn the face, which we gotta say looks effing hot. But it’s not all show with this beast. After a horsepower boost to 315 (320PS hence the name) and a torque jump to 332 ft-lb, the RB will hit 60mph in 4.8 seconds and then 100mph in 12.2 seconds, not bad for £29k ($57k) The suspension has also been re-sorted by none other than famous rally builders Prodrive, who also add the cherry to the top by allowing the early-order owners to take delivery at their Warwickshire test track.
The first RB320 will be auctioned off by Autosport magazine and all proceeds will go to the Richard Burns Foundations. The rest will be sold unfortunately only in the UK, though we bet SRTUSA drivers Travis Pastrana and Ken Block could get their hands on one if they asked nicely… Hint Hint!

That Suburu is so Fresh....and Im more a euro guy. But can definitely appreciate a hot car. Maybe Ken Block will get an RB320 and paint it flat black with orange brakes to match his Brabus CLS55.
I want one!
WOW, that thing is sick. Richard Burns was an amazing driver, Subaru did the right thing with this one!
What a cool way to honor a fallen soldier to the HP!
Wow a rolling memorial, what a tribute… That’s gotta be the Highest Honor a car guy could ever receive… BTW…THAT ISH IS SICK
[...] Thanksgiving Tribute: A recap of the first WRC Turkey In it’s inaugural run, the 2003 Rally of Turkey proved to be a rough one. From the big rocks and super-rough terrain to the crappy weather, the drivers, including 0-60 heros Richard Burns and (a Grist-less) Colin McRae had to man up and press on. Often compared to Cyprus and Greece, this event is a great addition to the WRC line-up. And much thanks goes out to the people of Turkey for this one. Over a year of preparation was required to ready the mountain roads above Antalya for this event. Apparently, towards the last days of construction, the average workday was 18 hours long. Sheesh, labor laws anyone? [...]
Thats not much of a tribute... its called a marketing scheme... losing a driver meaning losing fans and money... this RB320 STi... is to soften the financial blow... if subaru was serious about remembering this guy then they would create a memorial for him
I am not sure if I agree with you on that one, Real. It's not like Richard Burns was racing at the time of his death. His seat had already been filled on the WRC. So, it's not like they are out any type of revenue, and they did auction off the first car to raise money for his foundation. But either way, it is extremely sad that Burns died so young.
